Suicide is a major problem throughout the world. It's quite understandable (and logical) that this video would upset or enrage many viewers; especially those who have relations to someone who has committed or attempted to commit suicide. I personally find this video to be amusing in the sense that the guy that was going to "jump" was being equally as dramatic as the man trying to persuade him not to do so. Putting aside the awkward (and slightly annoying) noises and vocals, the video did have an emotional connection up until the end. Many (including myself) have never dealt with a loved one attempting suicide (NOT meaning to imply that it is something that should be experienced). How does this video's comedic play on a serious and emotional problem make you feel? The message portrayed in this video is that a lot of people threaten to commit suicide but, even after upsetting all of their closest friends and family, end up either backing out in the end or never planned on actually doing it in the first place (only wanting attention). What are your thoughts on this video and it's painfully delivered message? Were you concerned at all for the man about to lose his closest friend?.. Or maybe for the man who had been previously thought to have given up on life? What did you think of the ending? Did it surprise you at all? On the subject of something as serious as suicide, I never expected an ending such as this one.

True Sportsmanship

This video touched many but also myself. I have played softball for all of my life and have never seen anything like this. It makes me thank God that some people in this world have the heart to help others. Even though the girl's goal cost her her softball career I am glad she was able to conquer it. If you play a sport, have you been able to make your goal? After watching this video does it make you have the drive to go conquer your goal because you don’t know when something like this could happen to you? Do you think you would have rushed over to help your teammate if it would have changed your score? Do you think you would have been like the opposing team’s players and have the courage to carry her around the bases even though it didn’t help their score?

About a month ago this home invasion happen on the ODU campus. The students allegedly involved in this invasion stole from their fellow schoolmates. These students also used guns and knifes in this invasion. How would you feel if you knew your roommate had a gun or knife? For the seniors planning to go to college and the upcoming students preparing for the road to college what do you think about this video? How would you feel if you found out your roommate was a thief? How do you think the students on campus feel about their own body of students steeling from them? I was thinking about transferring to ODU after a few years at TCC but now I am starting to rethink this idea. Would you want to go to a campus where you know for sure this crime happened?
