Gender-Free Child??
What did you think of this video? Is it a good idea to allow a child to choose what gender they want to be? Are the parents making the gender issue bigger than it has to be? Do you think the parents will be able to keep the gender of their child a secret? Could this possibly have a negative effect on the child's future?

I think that this is absolutely ridiculous! No its not! What happened to God choosing? Yes they are. No they won’t be able too. It is a negative effect.
This is an interesting video. In a sense people choose their own gender anyway. If a guy wants to be a woman then he can get a sex change and vice versa. I do think that parents are making the gender issue bigger than it needs to be. The last thing I want to hear about is more political correctness because someone is offended by a certain gender. With this story the parents will not be able to hide the gender because people are going to care for some reason. Who knows if this will have a negative effect on the child’s future.
I think this video is superficial. I say this because what baby could be of free gender? I believe the parents are brave but also crazy. I mean these parents can't get right. This will have an major impact on the child's future. This is an major embarrassment!
I think this video is a little strange. I don't think it's a good idea to let your child choose what gender it wants to be. It's born one gender, it shouldn't raise itself to be the opposite gender. These parents are definitely making this situation more dramatic than it should be. When their child goes off to school, or anywhere, really, people are going to figure out this child's gender. I think it's definitely going to have a negative effect on the child's future. If it's a boy, he could think he's a girl, and be rather feminine. If it's a girl, she could think she's a big burly guy. Either way, this child is probably going to be picked on severely in its lifetime.
This video was interesting. I think it's a good idea to allow their child to be who they want to be. However, I wouldn't have put all of this on the news. You never know what people outside their home might feel about it. It isn't a secret anymore. I think this could have a negative and a positive effect.

These people are stupid! No one should just allow there child the freedom to choose what gender they are. When they are born, they have a gender and people should live towards that gender. When the parents are sending their child into a world that does not care and the child will be picked on and teased. The child will more than likely be able to fit in more if they were one gender or another. Gender is not a bad thing, I believe that the parents are wrong and they should be raising their child towards the gender they really are.
The events discussed in this video do not surprise me. It is definitely not a good idea to let children choose what gender they want to be. They cannot deny their true gender and expect positive results. The parents should accept the child's gender and raise he or she to the best of their ability. The parents will not be able to keep the gender of their child a secret. Eventually, the child will look like either a boy or a girl. This will have a negative effect on the child's future because the child will be confused and rejected. People will treat the child as an outcast because it does not fit in.
I think that this is absurd. Like Sam said, in a way we choose our own gender anyway. But nature has evolved us so that a man and a woman could reproduce. I don't have any problem with homosexuals, but raising "gender-free" children is only promoting homosexuality. Also, raising their children in this way ignorantly leads them into the real world. Imagine going to school one day, and everything you've learned is completely wrong.. What would your view on your parents be? They raised you incorrectly from birth? If a child or growing adult chooses to reject his gender naturally then that's fine. But it is important that you raise your child the way his body was created. Would you rather be a woman trapped in a man's body, or a man (or woman) perfectly content in their own bodies... These parents are only leaving more room open for future distress.
I thought that this video was very interesting. I have never heard of parents doing this before. I don’t think it is a good idea to let a child choose its gender, they are what ever God created them to be, and there’s no changing or going back to decide. I do think the parents are making gender a bigger issue then it really is. If It was meant for them to be a girl then they would be a girl and vise versa. I do not think the parents will be able to keep the gender of their child a secret for very long. I do think that this will have a HUGE negative affect on these children’s life, especially in their social life. I think that these kids will grow up to be very unsure about a lot of things. How do you choose whether to be a boy or girl ?
I was shocked with this video. I think by the parents letting the child choose it is a unique way of letting their child have a voice.
