Personally, I think spanking is okay as long as you aren't forcefully hitting your child. Spanking was used in my house when I was younger and it seemed to be effective. I consider spanking to be child abuse only if they use an object to hit the child or they leave welt or bruises. Some parents take spanking to an extreme. However, some parents NEED to spank their children.
A spanking is just like a pop on the booty or hand. I think spanking is not wrong. It may be effective but good. It doesn't have long term effects. Spanking is not considered child abuse. It really helps kids straighten up.
I see spanking as the beating of a child that desirves it. No, I dont think spanking is wrong. Yes, I do think spanking is effective. No, I dont think spanking leaves a long-term effect on a child. No, I dont consider spanking child abuse.
I don't think spanking children is wrong. I believe when you have tried everything to discipline your children, spanking seems to be necessary. Sometimes spanking is child abuse. I think spanking may result in better acting children. In the bible, it says if you spare the rod, you spoil the child. That's probably why there are so many bad kids out there today.
I think spanking is just a smack on the butt or something. I think spanking isn't wrong but there is a difference between spanking and abusing. Spanking isn't considered child abuse endless the parent is over doing it and actually really hurting a child. I think spanking is an actual good discipline; just not too hard or too often is what makes it not considered as child abuse.
Spanking is something I went through a lot when I was a kid. Not because I was bad, but instead because my grandpa hated everything I did. Between the ages of 4 and 8 the leather belt and wooden spoon were my best friend. I didn't turn out too bad right? Granted not many people like what I have to say, but I've been through a lot, so they can't say too much. Regardless, spanking is a form of punishment. I guarantee every single one of our founding fathers were whipped senseless as children, but check this, at the same time King George III was never spanked. He was given everything he wanted from birth, and look how he turned out. A spoiled, selfish, tyrannical maniac. Enough said.
Good parents should spank their children. Spanking is not wrong. I firmly believe that spanking is effective. I don't think spanking has long term effects. I don't think its child abuse until parents do it with intent to harm.
I think spanking you kids is okay, to an extent. As long as you aren't doing it forcefully. In some people it is effective, but to some other people it's not effective. If some kids know that all they will get is a spanking and not be punished, then they will keep doing whatever they want to do. I also don't think that spanking your child is child abuse as long as you are not leaving marks on your child or actually hurting them while you do.
I do believe spanking is o.k. to a point. Spanking is completely different than child abuse. If you are leaving bruises on your children that is not right, and i do not believe in that. I don't think spanking has long term effects on children, i think it teaches responsibility. If you do something wrong you do need to be punished. I don't think you should use something to hit your child with, just enough to get your point across.
To me spanking is okay if you do it the right way, it's only discipline. I don't have an exact definition for spanking but it is along the lines of just simply "swatting" your child when they have done something wrong or out of line. I think spanking is effective, you can tell which kids aren't properly disciplined. There is a big difference between child abuse and spanking. Child abuse is beating your child for no reason or overly doing it when you do disciplined them.
Spanking to me is being hit with a belt, switch, wooden spoon, and the old hot wheels tracks. I do not think spanking is wrong because it teaches discipline and respect. I do think spanking is effective because I was spanked as a kid and I turned out good. I do not think it has a long lasting effect on children. Personally I look back at it and I say I am glad my parents spanked me. I do not think it is child abuse.
Spanking is just simply popping the kid on the behind. I do believe spanking is effective, because it catches the kids attention. I do not believe it has a long-term effect, because the children realize the parents were doing it for their own good. Most kids who were spanked do not claim it was child abuse. It is not child abuse, the parents are doing it to help the kid understand what is right from wrong.
Spanking to me is a very powerful way to punish your kids. I do not think spanking is wrong, cause its a form of punishment to make your kids behave. I do think spanking has a long-term effect on your kids. To me it is not child abuse, cause some cases of child abuse now is way worse than a spanking.
I define spanking as discipline to children to help them understand the consequences that follow the bad that they do. I don't necessarily think spanking children is wrong, because I was born in the generation where children did get spankings. It all depends on how the child was disciplined and the rewards they received for doing good for balancing of long term effects on the children. Spanking is not considered child abuse to me, because like I said it helped me learn lessons from the choices I made as a child. It actually helped me to be a great person.
Spanking is a form of punishment to children who have done something wrong. I don't think spanking is wrong. It doesn't really it has long term effects. It shouldn't be considered child abuse. As long as the parent knows when to stop.
When I was a kid I was spanked every time I did something wrong or said something wrong. Spanking was productive and it let me know that at the time whatever I had done, was wrong and I knew not to do it again; Spanking for me was effective. I don’t think that spanking has had long-term effects on children because if the parent or the person doing the spanking lets the child know, why he or she is being spanked, and that it’s only for discipline, the child will think nothing more of it. My mother let me know why she spanked me, and told me that she was disciplining me, so I understood and took my discipline. Spanking to me is not child abuse, until you do something worse, harsher or something really cruel and in humane, with your punishing
I believe spanking could be bad but also sometimes its necessary. No I do not believe spanking is wrong. Spanking can be effective depending on the child. Spanking would not have a long-term effect on children you did something wrong so you get punished that's all. No spanking is not child abuse.
There is a difference between disciplining with spanking and aggressively punishing one’s children. I do not believe spanking one’s child is considered abuse unless it becomes obsessive and uncontrolled. I do believe that parents should not use their bare hands when they spank their children, because that could very well encourage them to hit others. Parents should explain to their children why their behavior is inappropriate before spanking them. This is the only way that a lesson can be learned; otherwise, the children will only continue their behavior and the parents will continually spank them for the same actions. While spanking is effective for some children, it may not work to discipline others. My sister and I were two different children. She would refuse to do as our parents requested even when she knew that she would get a spanking. When our parents just lightly threatened spanking me, I immediately stopped whatever it was that I was doing. There is no such thing as a universal discipline method. Children are different, and therefore, each child requires different discipline techniques.
