What's the craziest excuse you have ever given for being absent? Do you think there should be a limit on the number of absences you have? Why or why not? If you could change one rule at WHS, would it be the absence/tardy rule or something else?

I've only been absent for being sick so, unfortunately, I don't have any crazy excuses. I do think there should be a limit on absences unless you have a really important reason, such as extreme illness or death of a close relative. If I could change a rule, I would make it so students could have 15 absences like in elementary school.
I don't use crazy excuses for being absent. Usually, I'm at school. I think there should be a limit on unexcused absences but not excused. I say that because some people just miss school for no reason. I think I would change the absence/tardy rule because it is just too strict for people that come to school and may have just been sick or had a cause of unusual circumstances.
I missed school because I didn't feel like going to school before. I wrote my own note saying I was sick. That's the only note I've written, not too crazy at all. If I could change one rule it would be to allow cell phone use at school.
I don't give notes for being absent. No, because if you dont want to come you dont have to come. It's a choice to come to school everyday. It's not the kid who gets in trouble it's the parent. It would be the three for an a and two for a b.
I don't have a crazy excuse for being absent besides going to the doctor.I do think there should be a limit for UNEXCUSED absences, not for excused. Just because I do believe it's imperative for kids to be in school and when they aren't, for no reason, it should be counted against them. If I could change one rule at WHS it would be bringing in food from other restraunts and this new rule making athletes pay for sports participation.
I usually don't bring back any excuses for why I missed school. I don't think it would matter if there were a limit on the number of absenses you have. The point is you're absent. If I could change one rule at WHS it would not be the absense/tardy rule. It would probably be the amount of leniency on the seniors.
I've never really given a note with a crazy excuse because if I'm absent for something I just say I'm sick. I don't give them my actually reasons because then you never know if it'll get excused and it's just too much trouble. I did get excused for a two day forensics symposium thing where they just talked about actual criminal cases and showed how they were solved. I don't think it should matter how many days you miss. I think you should get the same work and if you get it done that's great and if you don't you fail. It should be all on you, especially in high school because most people are going to go to college and no one there is going to want a note and no one there cares if you show up or not. Letting students come and go as they please in high school will set them up for the responsibilities they will have in the real world instead of babying them.
I never have crazy excuses! The excuses I have are true! I hate that teachers think I be lien! I think there should not be a limit of absences. I think it's an personal opinion to come to school or not. Students can make good grades without coming to school. If I could change one thing it could be teachers acting like parents because students got to grow up on there on sooner or later. So why not start them off in high school.
I have never used a crazy excuse for being absent; I usually just stick with the phrase, “I wasn’t feeling well yesterday.” It is ridiculous to require students with an A or a high B in a class to take the final, simply because of a few extra absences. As long as a student has a good grade in a class, absences should not count against them. If I could, I would change the exemption policy so that those students with an exceptional grade in a class should not be required to take the final exam regardless of the number of absences they have acquired. If a student is doing well in a class, then a final is unnecessary to improve his grade average, or to verify the knowledge obtained throughout the course.
I never have had a crazy excuse for being absent. There shouldn't be a limit on the number of absences because someone could be sickly or something. There should be a limit on the number of unexcused though. If I could change a rule at WHS it would be the absence tardy rule. As long as the person is passing the class absences and tardies should not matter.
I have missed quite a few days in school, not all of my excuses are true, but they are usually believable. I think the limit of absences should be on unexcused, if the absence is excused then it should not count against you. If you have a reason like a doctors appointment or death in the family that definitely should not count. There are a few rules I would change at WHS and yes the absence rule would be one.
I've never really given a crazy excuse, though not every single one of my notes have been true. I think excused absences should not count against you for exams. If you go to the doctor or attend a funeral I believe those should not even count. Yes there are a few rules I would probably change about WHS and absences is up there.
