I don't think beauty pageants are degrading to women. However, I do think it makes certain girls feel terrible about themselves. If I were a judge, I would look for a great personality and someone who has done a lot of volunteering and community service. I feel that these winners should be picked based on their inside beauty. If a winner is stuck up and snobby, how is that a good representation of America?
I didn't watch the USA pegeant. I think they are alright. Sometimes they are just taken too seriously. They don't really degrade women, they just make other women have low self-esteems. I'd look for a great personality along with beauty. They would have to be someone who doesn't mind giving back. Those are qualities that mean more than beauty alone.
I didn't watch the Miss USA pageant. I think beauty pageants are pointless but if that's your thing I guess it's cool. I think it puts a lot of pressure on girls and their appearance. I think it makes some women feel really self-conscious and obsess about appearance. If I was a judge I'd look for both inner and outer beauty.
I did not watch the pageant last night. I like watching and attending beauty pageants but I have never entered one. I think it is a great opportunity to let young girls and women show off their talents, however some people care about all the wrong things. If I were a judge I would look for that one girl that just looks like she is passionate about it. Personality is a big part of it to me.

No, I did not watch the beauty pageant. I don't think beauty pagents are degrading to women. It's their choose to do beauty pageants and if they dont like it then you dont have to look at it. If i were a judge a would look for a nice smile and pretty eyes.
I did not watch the Miss USA pageant last night. I don't have a problem with beauty pageants. I think it's a good thing to celebrate women's beauty and confidence. I don't believe they are in any way degrading to women. Since I don't know much about pageants, I don't what I'd look for if I were a judge.
I didn’t watch the pageant last night; I usually don’t. I don’t think they are necessarily degrading to women, but I do believe that some contestants get so caught up in the motions of the pageants that they define themselves by their performance. Other women genuinely enjoy participating in pageants and are able to portray themselves in a very real personal way. This is the behavior that I would look for if I were a judge. Miss USA should be beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. She should have a wonderful personality and be generally sincere about how she treats others around her.
I did not watch last night's Miss USA pageant. I think beauty pageants are nice. I don't necessarily think that pageants are degrading to women. If women wanted to be degraded then they would make the decision to be by not keeping up with their beauty. Some people do see them as degrading though. I would look for passion and great personality if I were a judge in the Miss USA beauty pageant.
I did not watch the Miss USA pageant. I think that beauty pageants are kind of silly. I think they are based on the wrong things. If beauty pageants made money for charity or something then made I would support it, but to exploit women, and to draw attention to their "beauty". I would look for personality and I'd pay close attention to the things they say.
Nope didn't watch Miss USA last night. I think beauty pageants are just one more way to cause girls to be too hard on themselves. It's not neccessarily degrading to women, but it is still causes young girls to set their standards way to high in my opinion. When I say that I just mean that the young girls who this influences feel like they aren't good enough if they don't look like this. I can't describe what I would look for in these kind of things. Personally I believe we live in a socity where beauty is too important. Honestly though I keep getting told I'm not allowed to watch and judge these kinds of things because I'm to harsh.
I did not watch the Miss USA pageant last night. I don't think they are degrading to women, I just think some people take it a little to far. It can be a good thing to make woman feel beautiful. I would look for personality over looks. If someone has a rude or snotty they are no longer pretty to me.
