What do you think about this happening? Do you think that these types of things are happening more and more frequently? Why or why not? Does this worry you for when you get into college?

I think this is getting a little crazy. Every time I turn around I feel like I hear something about a college student getting killed or someone going on a rage at a nearby school. I do think these types of things are happening very frequently. I don't know why these things are happening. This does not worry me that much because I plan on going to a community college. I do think something needs to be done about this. I just don't know what?
This doesn't surprise me, kids having been doing a lot lately. I think it'a just for attention. They know coming in a school with all the guns and the intent to kill is a bad thing. There not gonna walk away from it with no consequence. I personally am not worried about this.
This is just a very odd story, and not much is known right now. I do believe there are more and more shootings in schools and it becomes known throughout the news. I'm not sure why this is occuring, if someone's trying to get attention but killing yourself is a huge step so its hard to say thats the reason. Then again it could only seem to be occuring more because we make it more explicit and announce these occurances. It is a bit scary, but it doesnt scare me for college. Jessica Blythe
I used to be shocked once I'd hear about a shooting like this but it seems lately that shootings and suicide aren't rare occurrences anymore. My thoughts go out to his family, I honestly do hate to see a college student be so disturbed and end his life before it ever even begun. I don't mean this in a bad way but maybe it all happens for a reason. If the student wouldn't have passed away himself then it could have always turned into another Virginia Tech. I do worry about this when I go to college, and that is one of the main reasons for why I don't wanna live on campus. I honestly don't understand why the world seems to be going further and further down due to all these shootings. It is so very sad and very worrisome. -Dixie Gibson
I wish things like this would stop happening. I don't know if people really have true motives or they are doing it for attention, but I'm tired of hearing about this stuff ALL THE TIME! It's sad and scary but it is old. It sort of worries me since college is just in a matter of months, but It'll just make me keep a better look out of my surroundings and who I associate myself with. I don't understand why he would kill himself to begin with and why he had all of these weapons and bombs. That is very scary.
