Read this article .
Have you ever seen the show Teen Mom or Sixteen and pregnant? Do you think they they are beginning to shy away from the struggle andbecoming more of a soap opera? I've seen both of those shows. I do think that it is becoming more of a soap opera than a show with a meaning. I don't watch this show that much, so I don't know that cast. I think Teen Mom has done nothing.

I have never seen the show Teen Mom or Sixteen and pregnant. Im not really sure what to say towards this blog. Im not sure what to think about if it would make teen birth rates decline, but I can imagine if there is a show about teen pregnancy it would make other teens in the world want to be just like them.

I have seen this show. I believe they are getting attention from their drama, and "whats next" effect. It is farring the side of being serious and serving its purpose. I did think Corey and Leah would get back together in the end. I highly doubt this show has changed minds of young teens. Most of the young women on this show have got what they wanted from this dads and or parents. Only a few had a struggle.

I watched Teen Mom and it really gained my attention. These critics are right though, like about it being a soap opera. A lot of the episodes seemed more like a struggle between couples that split up or tried dating or going to school. It wasn't really financial trouble. Maci for instance, she was moving like every month and half of these people, like Fara and Maci, drove nice cars. A lot of arguing went on between the moms and their parents instead of the babies being the big picture. I can believe that Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 helped decrease the teen pregnancy rate to a certain extent. It may have worked for awhile, but these days it seems like everyone is pregnant!

Yes I've seen the show Teen Mom and Sixteen and pregnant. I used to watch them a hole lot when they first aired. I do believe that the show has pulled away from it's hole beginning purpose. The show was suppose to be educational and show teens how hard of a struggle it is to have a baby, since the first season the drama seems to circle around the mother's and circle around their relationship issues and drug addictions. I haven't fell into the show trap at all, instead the show has really plucked my nerves and pushed me away from even watching it. In conclusion to that I honestly don't think it prevented any pregnancy's with teens because since the first season of 16 and pregnant aired there has been more and more new seasons of the show involving 16 year old girls and a few who were even younger than 16. How is that helping the young birth rates decline?

I have seen Teen Mom. I think it is beginning to turn into a soap opera. I don't know what trap you're talking about? I don't really watch the show so I don't know who the characters are. I don't think it has helped anything.
