How would you feel if you had custody of your grandchildren and their parents came to take them? What would you do if you were the grandmother and your son in law tied you up and took your grandchildren? Why do you think they chose to go to cuba versus anywhere else.

It's clear that these two parents do not need to have custody of their children. After having them in a hotel with guns and drugs then showing up to the foster care with a gun? That's bazaar. I'm glad that the boys were fond and that they were safe. I can't imagine what was going through their grandmother's head when their father came and kidnapped them. Why would they take them on a small boat over some of the most dangerous waters just to flee to Cuba? I think they deserve jail time after putting their family through this and their little boys lives at risk.
If I had custody of my grandchildren, and their parents came and took them away then obviously I would be furious. If children are placed in the hands of their grandparents then it is for a reason, their parents must have not been proper parents to the kids. If I had my grandchildren forcefully taken from me, I would go trough whatever obstacles I would have to do, to insure that they were in the proper hands and watched over lovingly. Even if that means calling the law on my own daughter. Cuba would be the ideal place, it is crowded in some areas and it is probably impossible to find people over there. Same reasons why people choose Mexico when they flee from the United States.

I've actually have had this experience before. It's not a good one or a topic to talk about a lot. It's sad, but of you gave up your rights to the grandparents then it's their child. I wouldn't able to do anything if i was tied up. But there are possibly many reason why they chose Cuba.
I would be pretty mad. I've earned the custody of the kids and you didn't have it because apparently you're doing something wrong, so what's the point in getting them now. I would scream for help and eventually call the police when i was untied. It is an easy place to go from Florida and maybe they were illegal. I don't think Cuba is in good ties with the U.S in the first place.
I would be mad if they came to take them away. I would sue him if he tied me up and took them. I don't know why they would go to Cuba
I would be upset and worried for the children because the parents were unfit to take care of them. I would do everything I could to help the police find them. I think they went to Cuba because they probably thought that no one would search for them there.
