What is your response to this video? Do you think the grandparents were to naive about the whole situation? Do you think the children should've been taken out of the home during the first investigation?

I think that was so messed up!I think the grandparents had a part in it. I think so because they quiet and they raised him that way. I think the children should have been taken away. I mean where was the mom.
I think the whole situation is really messed up. I do not think they were naive but the should have been more careful on watching there father. After all its his kids so he should be able to see them. I do think they should have removed the children during the first investigation because if he did kill they mother, he would not hesitate to kill them. Which he did in the end.
I think this video is crazy. I can't believe a father could do this to his own children. I do think the grandparents were a little naive. Not many people saw this coming though, he seemed as if he he was a good father. I think the children should of been taken out of the home after the first investigation, even if he was not charged.
I think its horrible to put a child through that. I do think the grandparents a being naive about the situation. But they cant be at fault for what happened. I do believe they should have been taken out of the home.
I think it's really insane how someone would do something like that to little kids. The guy Josh, and his father are both super nuts in the head. I think the lady who dropped the kids off should have had better control of the kids. I think the Grandparents were pretty naive about the whole situation. And I think the kids should have been taken out during the first investigation just because.
Killing yourself is stupid on it's own. If you're stupid enough to do that then maybe it is for the best. But to bring two children with you. Not just in death but in being slowly burned alive? This man was sick and twisted.
This video made me sad. I can't seem to understand why he had to kill his sons just because he felt that he could not live without them. Don't punish them for your own selfish feelings. The children should have never been allowed back in the house after the first investigation. If he wanted to see them, they should have made him come to them. This is just a horrible story and that family definitely needs prayer.
My response to this video is that I don't believe how a father could to that to his kids. In a way do think the grandparents were to naive, because they didn't. And I also think that the kids should have been taken out of the home during the first investigation. If they had been removed, then none of this would have happened.
My response to this video is that what he did was a very cowardly and selfish act. I think the grandparnets knew what he could've have done, but they still allowed their grandkids to visit him. They should have been taken out of the home after the first investigation, cause I think he had something to do with his wife's disapperance. I think what he did was a very cruel thing to do.
That Powell was crazy. They should have severd all ties between Powelland his kids. The grandparents should never aloud the kids to be around him becuase of him being a person of intrest in his wifes murder.
I think that he is crazy there is no reason to kill yourself. And if he had to why he kill his kids too they had their whole life to live. The grandparents were just trying to do the right thing in giving the father time with his son. This ended up being the worst thing they could have done. I don’t think that they grandparents should have let him see them until he was cleared from the investigation.
I think it was a terrible thing that happened and that it could've been prevented. If the visits were always supervised then someone should have noticed that there was something wrong with him. It should have been looked into more before the children were allowed to stay. I think the grandparents could tell something wasn't right with him but, ultimately, if the court decides that the children can visit the father then their was nothing the grandparents could've done anyway other then getting custody. The court should have had the whole situation investigated more before they made such a decision.
This father is just straight up crazy. I do not know how someone can live with themselves after killing their own kids like that. The grandparents act like it is not even that big of deal. Its almost like they knew it was coming but did absolutely nothing to stop him. I do believe the kids should have been taken out after the first investigation, because he obviously had no right to have control of those kids.
This father clearly had mental issues. If he had left family members a goodbye voice mail the day before the visitation, the children should've never went to his house. After the first investigation, the kids should've been removed from his custody permanently. If he wanted to see them, the kids should not have been allowed in his home. From the video, the grandma didn't seem too upset about the situation and that's sad.
I don’t understand how anyone could be cruel or crazy enough to take their child's life. Children should be given the chance to live and no one should take that from them. Neither the grandparents nor the social workers can be held at fault for this man’s actions. I don’t think it is okay to take children from their parents because of suspicion but they should be watched extra closely.They probably should have met at an open place; with more people around since they think he’s a murderer or something.
I think that this video says a lot about the dad's immorality of proper teachings. What this father did to his children was very wicked and manifest in front of his social worker and society. Those kids did not deserve to die at so young of ages. It already wasn’t fair enough that they hadn’t seen their mom since before she went missing, and for this man to kill them behind it all was very unnecessary. I do so think that the grandparents were immature about the whole situation. They should’ve suspected in the first investigation and took the action to get those children out of the home for their safety and sanity.
I think this story is sad and I feel really bad for the rest of the family. I also feel really bad about what happened to the little boys. The father needs to be in prison for a really long time, for what he did, because what he did, was horrible. I do think the children should've been taken out of the house during the first investigation.
The entire situation is just terrible. Unless there was additional evidence to suggest that the father was too dangerous to even be allowed supervised visitation with his kids, then the grandparents were not naïve in allowing them to continue. This man, assuming he is innocent, was obviously beaten down from losing his wife and then gradually, his sons. However, if he in fact did play a role in his wife’s disappearance, then perhaps the guilt forced him to make the decision to save himself, and his sons, from the continual pain and humiliation. Or maybe he is simply a selfish man who was running out of options. Either way, killing himself and his children was not the best choice for their futures, and of course, the futures of everyone who loves them.
This is insanity. I can't believe someone would do this. Its not right if he wanted to kill himself fine, but he should've NEVER EVER have taken his sons lives as well its just plain wrong. I don't think that the Grandparents on their mothers side had any idea that Powell was making these plans. The judge should've never allowed those kids to see there father in his home or anywhere public for that matter. All visitations should have been in an open and public area. This is sicking.
