The Best Parent

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Do you think French people are best parents? Or do you think Americans? Consider what you see when you go out in public and how you've seen parents treat their children. Do you think there is a perfect parent out there? How are you planning to raise your children so that they can be productive citizens in society?

I don't think the French are the best parents but I don't think Americans are the best either. The French do have different ways of raising their kids and maybe Americans shelter their children just a little too much. It seems that the French aren't as clingy to their children. There is no such thing as a perfect parent. I plan on raising my kids to act in a respectful manner.

It doesn't depend on the nationality it depends on the parent. No I don't think their is a perfect parent out their.

I don't think that either are "better parents". I think all parents have flaws. No body is perfect so no one is a "perfect parent". I plan to be a strict but a fair parent.

Ok this is a very touchy subject. As such I reserve my right to not speak at all. Sorry you only have to read a few sentances.

I think that french people are good parents. It depends on who the person is and what their standards are for their children. I've seen more discipline on children in public lately.I don't think there is a perfect parent out there. Everyone is different when it comes down to their children. When I have children, I will raise them to the best of my abilities and teach them right from wrong for their benefits as well as mines.

I think they are okay parents. Americans are okay parents also. I think it depends on how people are. I think there is no perfect parent in the world. I plan on raising my children right, kinda opposite of how I was raised.

Best may not be the best choice. Better would be a more appropriate choice. And, in my opinion, the french are much better at parenting. My main point of refernece would be the baby sleeping through the night. In America, children will often wake up multiple times a night up until the age of one or more. The french obviously have better tactics to taking care of the kids.

I don't believe either French or American are better parents. It all depends on the parents and how they choose to raise their kids. I do not believe there is a perfect parent out there because every situation is different. As a parent you can not really prepare because you never know what is going to happen. Parenting is something you can prepare for, but you won't learn how it truly is until you experience it.

I do not think that the French or American parents are better than the other. All parents can not be perfect and they all have flaws. There is not a perfect parent in the world. I plan to be strict but fair as well.

I don't think that French people are best parents. I think it just all depends on how you raise your child. I don't think there is a perfect parent out there, just because there isn't anybody that is perfect.

I don't think French people are the best parents. I just think that we all have different ways. I really don't think there is a perfect parent anywhere. When I raise my children, I'm going to get them involved in playing sports, playing music, and other activities.

I don't think either way is necessarily the best. Every child is different and so every parent needs to be different. What may work for one child might not work for another. There's no such thing as a perfect parent because there's no such thing as a perfect person. I would just make sure that my children wouldn't be so sheltered that they can't function on their own in the real world, like some parents do.

I don't think French people are the best parents, they just happen to have tips that make parenting easier. American's can do the same, but just have different ways of parenting. My parents are the best, in my eyes. I don't think there is a perfect parent out there because nobody is perfect so I highly doubt there actions are perfects either. I’m going to raise my children like my parents raised me and my siblings, with strong morals and discipline when necessary and staying in church.

Parents, whether French or American, are still people and have differing morals and opinions. To make a generalization claiming that one country has better parenting styles than the other would be too broad of a statement to be correct. There are bad parents all over the world despite the country they reside in. There are no perfect people, so by default, there are no perfect parents. I plan on one day raising my children according to my beliefs and morals, but in the end, they will have to decide what values they should live by.

I don't think French people are the best parents, they've just found different ways to raise their children. Americans definitely aren't the best parents either. I sometimes wonder why some American parents even bother having children. I don't believe there is a perfect parent out there, just people who do things differently. I have no idea how I will raise my children so they are productive citizens in society, but I will take into account how my parents raised me.

I don't think you can put all parents in the same group and call them "good" parents. Raising a child is hard and humans aren't perfect, we all make mistakes. I do not think there is such a thing as a perfect parent, a parents job is to teach their child right from wrong and to love them unconditionally, that is the closest to perfect they'll get. My children will be disciplined but definitely not treated bad. And Brandon, sentances ? :)

I don't think French are any better parents than the Americans. People all have a different style parenting. Parents all have different ways of raising their children and won't be told if it is right or wrong. I do not believe there is a "perfect parent" everyone has a different style of what they believe. I don't really know how I'm going to raise my kids,I'll figure that out once I have one.
