How do you feel about men having anorexia? Do you think they are just as self conscious as women? Do you think it should be supported? Is it healthy for others around them?
I think it's sad and that it definitely needs to be supported. The more support, the less men and women will suffer from anorexia. I believe men are just as self concious as women and I don't think it's healthy for people around them.
I think it's weird for men to be anorexic. I don't think it's healthy at all and is very unusual. I don't think men should have to worry about being skinny and stuff. I don't think anorexia should be supported. It's not healthy for others around them because they are doing the wrong thing.
Do I think it should be supported? Like... I should support men with anorexia?... No I don't think I will. Anorexia has always been just as common in males as in females. It's just that males are less likely to admit that they are. Personally I don't see how skinny people can think they are fat. It just doesn't make sense. But hey, you wanna starve yourself? Go right ahead, that's one less person taking up resources on this over populated planet... maybe we need more anorexics... hmmmm....
Men are just as susceptible to eating disorders as women are. Men can be self conscious due to all the magazine ads of body builders and athletes. Anyone with an eating disorder should be supported. It is not healthy for anyone to stop eating and the main way to stop the disorder is to support them and provide help.
I never considered the fact that men might have anorexia. I understand that they might feel pressure based on society. I don't think it should be supported though. I doesn't seem safe to me. I guess some men are just as self conscious as women.
I think it's surprising that Billy Bob Throton had a eating disorder. I think women are more self conscious then men. However, I still think men can definitely be very self conscious. I think anorexia is just a result not only of this 'perfect' image but because of how cruel people are. I think people's constant insults are more emotionally damaging then pictures presented by the media.
I do not think its cute at all for a guy to be toothpick skinny. However anorexic men doesn't shock me at all. Men seem to be even more self conscious than woman. They care a lot about what people think especially trying to constantly impress woman. I have a friend who is bulimic and it's scary, hopefully this doesn't become popular with guys.
It's just as sad for men to have anorexia as it is for women to have anorexia. Despite what some people think, men are just as self conscious as women. They should get the same help and support that women get. It is very unhealthy for others around them. I wish people would just be more confident in themselves and stop thinking they need to be perfect.
Men having anorexia is very bizarre. I don't see how men could be anorexic but I guess its possible. I don't think it should be supported. Its not healthy for the people around them.
Men having anorexia is very disturbing. Men should not be as self conscious as women, but sadly some are. I mean anybody who has issues should be supported, because everybody needs support. It is definitely not healthy for anybody to have to deal with somebody who has anorexia. I just think it weird to think about a guy having anorexia.
I feel like starving yourself to be skinny is stupid. Yes I feel that some men are self conscious. No they dont feel like it should be supported. It wouldn't do nothing to other people around them.
It doesn’t surprise me to hear that men are also susceptible to eating disorders. Anyone can be self conscious despite their gender, and that fear is fed by the media’s portrayal of what humans, men and women, should look like. This behavior should not be supported; it is harmful physically and mentally. Denying your body the nourishment you need is extremely dangerous. I understand that sometimes with actors, they must change their physical appearance in order to fit a certain role, but is this worth the risk?
Men can be just as self conscience as women there is no difference. I think its sad when someone feels like they have to starve themselves to have "the look". I think people should seek help. Eating disorders are a mental condition and people truly think they have a weight problem. I think people should just try be happy with themselves.
I think this is yet another form of media hystria. What I mean by this is that the media causes this craze that makes people feel like they need to be like this. This is something that makes me crazy and is why I firmly believe that media shouldn't be allowed to show what they consider to be the "perfect" body type. Allowing the media to do this creates a vicious cycle that only harms us. Should this be supported, yes it should. People need support when they have psycological problems. Yes many men are just as if not more than self conscious women. This isn't healthy for anyone, as I said earlier it just creates vicious cycles. There is only one way to stop these cycles and that is to accept people as they are.
I think men having anorexia is very unusual, cause I never heard of men having this disorder. Yes I think men are way more self conscious as women. I do not think it is healthy for others around them.
