Do you think that it would change your day knowing your not able to hug your boyfriend/girlfriend ? Or even just a simple friend? Knowing this school has a No Hugging rule, does it make you think that the students at the New Jersey Middle school is showing more effection towards each other than just hugging

I think the no hugging rule is pretty silly. If my boyfriend went to the same school as me and I couldn't hug him, it'd be kind of irritating. However, I do hug some of my friends at school and it'd be silly to get in trouble for that. If they had to make this a rule, then maybe the students were doing more promiscuous things than hugging. If that was the case, they should've made a different rule to fix the problem.

I think the no hugging rule in school is just stupid. I think there is a difference between girlfriend/boyfriend hugs and just regular friend hugs. As long is it doesn't get too nasty, I don't think it's a real problem. I feel kind of sorry for those little middle school kids because it's just a hug. I can't understand why people take it so out of proportion.

Southampton Middle School tried to impose a "No Hugging" rule while I was there. They actually enforced it for a month. They stopped when dozens of people started getting suspended. No hugging rules are stupid. Flat out, no beating around the bush, idiocracy to the max.

I think it's a little stupid to have a no hugging rule, and that's why I think that maybe those kids are doing a litle more than just hugging each other. I don't think hugging is bad at all, so I can't see why they would oppose of it. If my boyfriend went to this school and I knew I couldn't hug him, I would be upset. It wouldn't change my day, I'd just be a tad bit upset, nothing major.

I believe this "no-hugging-rule" is stupid. I think we are old and responsible enough to be able to hug one another. That is our choice, and we should be able to show our feelings for other people by giving them a hug, just as we shake people's hands. It's not like we're having sex in the middle of the hallway or anything. It's pretty dumb point blank.

The "No hugging" rule is so stupid. There is nothing wrong with hugging someone. It would change my day if I couldn't hug my boyfriend in school. I hug my friends all the time in school and it would be stupid if we got in trouble for it. It could be that the New Jersey middle school students are showing more affection towards each other, other than hugging; or it could be that the administration are just old fashioned, closed-minded, and have nothing better to do than make hugging prohibited in school.

I think it's so stupid. People should be aloud to hug others. It would change my view about new york. Also it would make me go crazy. I would have so many fines for disobeing the law.

I think the No Hugging Rule is a very stupid thing to try and enforce. I would change my day so much if I couldn't hug my friends. I think that they might be showing their affection in a different way.

The no hugging rule is a crazy rule. I love giving people hugs. I think it would definitely change my day knowing that I can't hug someone I love. I do think that the children at the New Jersey Middle school show much more effection towards each other than just hugging. Anytime they take hugging away something is definitely wrong.

Refusing to allow students to hug one another is quite an extreme measure to take. The only reason I would accept this rule, is if the students are using the freedom in inappropriate ways. Therefore, it does make the students at the middle school appear to be participating in activities on school grounds that are not appropriate for the surroundings. I do respect the parent on the video who said that she had to trust that the school was taking measures to protect her child. However, there is a point in which the actions taken to protect the students must be determined necessary, or torturous.

I think the no hugging rule is pretty stupid. Just because you hug someone doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. People give friendly hugs all the time. It wouldn't bother me with the whole boyfriend thing, but I do hug friends. Not meaning anything by it. This might imply that the students are being to affectionate. It may be good for the students to have this rule, but not as strict. I think kissing and what not should not be allowed because no one wants to see that anyways.

I think the "hugging" rule is stupid. I don't think it's that big of a deal. It'd be different if people were all over each other but a hug isn't a big deal. I think the school policy should be the same as the PDA policy in public. I think schools try to make problems out of nothing when there is nothing left to fix because they have nothing else to do.

The no hugging rule is pretty crazy to me, they should be worried about worse things than that. My boyfriend doesn't attend high school but if it would change your day or relationship by not being able to hug someone then you don't have a real relationship anyway. The no hugging rule in New Jersey is like the silent lunch rule here to me. Stupid. We are teenagers, treat us like it. The administration is just wasting time.
