Animal cruelty is becoming more and more of an issue each and every day. What are your views on animal cruelty? Do you think it can be permanently stopped? Do you think Michael Vick should have gotten more jail time for fighting his dogs? Why or why not?

I feel that animal activist go way too far. Cruelty is bad, but when you care more about a dying whale then you do a dying child, something is wrong. It will never be stopped! People will always be like that. No Michael Vick served the right amount of time. I love Michael Vick. He is changing his life around! Animal cruelty is sad, but people are ridiculous about it
Even if you didn't have a problem with animal cruelty I don't think anyone would openly admit it. Animal cruelty will never stop. There will always be some people who just don't care. I believe Michael Vick probably did not get enough time in jail. They would never put him in jail for too long considering he is famous.
Animal cruelty is very wrong. I hate watching these kinds of videos, they are so sad. Sometimes that's what people need to see to help though. I don't think it can ever be totally stopped, but it can definitely be helped a lot. I think Michael Vick should have served more time or been suspended from football longer. He is back in the game now and treated like he never did anything wrong. I think he should have to carry a sign around for the rest of his life saying what he did because it gets brushed off as nothing like everyone forgot.
I do not approve in any way of animal cruelty; it is wrong. It should be permanently stopped, but I doubt that it can be. However, I feel that child and spousal abuse are bigger, more important issues than neglected animals. People are the priority. Michael Vick should have gone to jail longer for fighting his dogs. He also should have been permanently banned from professional football. People who abuse animals should fully pay for their deeds.
I think that animal cruelty is wrong. The people who neglect these animals are horrible, cold hearted people, who needs to serve some time in jail. I don't think that it can be permanently stopped because people are just going to keep abusing these animals. I'm sure Michael Vick learned his lesson when he served jail time. Hopefully he won't fight his dogs again.

I am against animal cruelty; I love animals and do not think that they should be abused. Any person who abuses an animal does not deserve to own one. There are so many people who would love to have that animal, they would treat it right. Unfortunately I don’t think that it will ever be stopped permanently. I think that Vick did his time in jail, but I would have been happier if he had not been able to go back to the NFL.
Personally my view on animal cruelty is the same as it always was. How come they can kill people, but when we kill them its a big problem. I think people who use animals for no reason should get in trouble. No I don't think Mike Vick should of got more jail time. People can go hunting and kill animals at free will but when Mike Vick does it, its a problem. That's not right!
I really don't like when people abuse there dogs.I don't think that it can be permanently stopped. People are going to do what they want to do regardless of how someone else feels. No I don't think that Michael Vick should not have gotten more jail time because he is not the only person in the world that fights dogs. Plus he is a great player to my favorite team the EAGLES!
My views on animal cruelty are not as strong as many other people that have pets. My views are that yes, animal cruelty IS wrong and they do need help, but what about to the kids that are homeless and hungry. My question is where are the commercials for those near by that need help who have been abused and neglected? Although, I'd love to say it will stop and don't think it will be permanently stopped. I don't have a opinion on the Michael Vick case. The way I see it is I can't change it, you can't charge him again.
I think abusing a animal is just so inhumane. I don’t understand how you could hurt something that cant even defend itself. I don’t think animal cruelty will be stopped, because people do what they want in the privacy of their own home. I think there should be an official number of years that someone should get for abusing animals, because to me its just like abusing a child. In a way I don’t think Michael Vick should’ve gotten more time, because there are people that have hurt other people and have gotten less time. I do think the prison system should be more organize so everybody gets the same time for a crime they commit.
I can't stand seeing the sight of animal cruelty. It makes me so sad and angry at the people who hurt these innocent animals. Two cats that I have went through animal cruelty. One of them was left on the bridge in Franklin with no hair on her legs or tail. My other cat, now, was shot in the leg twice. He had to get his leg taken off. I don't think this will ever be permanently stopped. I would love for it to, though. I don't know what I think about Michael Vick. He's a great football player, but he shouldn't have gotten off the hook that easy.
I think that animal cruelty is wrong. It should be permanently stopped. I do not think Michael Vick should have gotten more jail time for fighting his dogs. Sarah Palin has a television show where she shoots animals for the fun of it and she is not getting any jail time. Also, deer are shot every fall just for the fun of it. The hunters are not sentenced to jail for killing deer so I do not think it is fair to punish one individual for a crime and not punish the others.
I believe that the person who abuses the animal should be treated the same way. If someone can honestly do that to a innocent animal they could do it to another person. I do not think animal cruelty will ever permanently stop because there will always be cruel people in the world. I think Micheal Vick should have gotten way more jail time for fighting his dogs because he knew what he was doing and he tortured those dogs. I have very strong views towards animal cruelty and still can't figure out how someone could abuse animals.
I think animal cruelty is just as bad as child abuse. The difference between them is that the animals don't get noticed as much. People also don't realize how much it actually happens. I think Michael Vick should have gotten more jail time for fighting his dogs than he did. I think that he should have gotten more jail because the animals were being trained for harmful things.
I am going to be honest and say that I really do not keep up with the facts of animal cruelty. I do not think that it is right for people to abuse animals if they cannot take care of them I do believe that they should give them to people who can take care of them. No, I do not think that this will ever be stopped completely, but people can pick in to try to help. I do not think that Michael Vick should have gotten the time that he got. People do it every day and they do not get the same punishment that Vick got. Honestly, I am tired of hearing of the Michael Vick case and nothing is going to change it now. Let the man live his life!!!!!!
I think that people should be punished for animal cruelty. I do not believe we can permanently stop animal cruelty. We can steadily decrease the amount of animal cruelty, but i do not believe we can get it so there will be no more issues with animal cruelty. Michael Vick should have not received as much as jail time as he should. There was a white man in North Carolina who was caught dog fighting a few weeks after Michael Vick was caught. But since Michael Vick is such a celebrity they put more emphasis on Michael's wrong doing. I just do not understand how the white mail only receive one to two months in jail.
