Egypt has now been under protest for 14 days! Do you think it's almost over or will it go on for awhile? Do the people have a legitimate reason to protest or is it ridiculous? Would you protest like this if our country was in Egypt's situation? Or would you do it peacefully like Martin Luther King Jr. and Gahndi?

I think this protest is going to go on for a long time. These people have a reason to protest because they are tired of all that is going on. People are losing jobs and have no money to provide for families. I don't know if I would protest the way these people in Egypt are. It has gotten very violent and not helping the situation either. I have a feeling that the protest will continue to go on until the protestors are satisfied. I’m sure that the people have a very good reason to protest, or else they wouldn’t be protesting to begin with. I believe, there’s always a reason behind protesting. It all depends on the situation that leads up to the protest of how I’d react to it. More than likely, I’d protest in a more peaceful manner than the people protesting in Egypt. I’m not the type of person to scream and shout over anything unless I’m really mad, so I’m not too sure on how my reaction to the situation would be.
I don't think anyone is giving up on this protest. Either the dictator will leave or be over-thrown. The people have a very good reason to protest. Their government is corrupt and they are doing the right thing by protesting. If the country did things I felt was harmful to my family or me, I'd be right in line to protest, 100% behind them.
I believe that the protest is not almost over and will go on for awhile. I do believe they have a legitimate reason to protest but they blew it out of proportion and went way to far with it. If they were calm and tried to explain their beliefs on the situation the end result might be different. If our country was in Egypt's situation I would handle it peacefully. I do understand why they are protesting but all their really doing is making the situation worse.
Egyptians are upset with their government and are hungry for change. I do believe that this protest will continue until a compromise is met. The people of Egypt feel that their government is an unjust dictatorship. I do not agree that they have a reason to overthrow it. Their country was fine and prosperous until a few people became exceedingly angry. I am not in favor of violent protests; I like to avoid confrontations. If I had to speak out against my government, I would do it peacefully to avoid violence and fatalities.
I believe that this is going to go on for a while. If the people feel as strongly as they seem to about wanting a new government, then I think that they are not going to stop until they get it or they die. If they are being mistreated by the government then the people in Egypt have a right to protest because they should be treated fairly. IF I was there I don’t know how I would protest, I might go with the violent approach or the peaceful approach. I wouldn’t know until I had to actually face that problem in person.
I had honestly never heard about what was going on in Egypt until a classmate said something about it in class. I do not think that the protest will be over soon, especially if their government does not allow them to start living again. Yes, the people of Egypt have a legitimate reason to be fighting against their own government. I believe that I would protest but I think it would be more peaceful than the situation now. What is going on in Egypt is ridiculous and no person should have to live in such conditions.
I think that this situation would go on for a while. These people definitely have a legitimate reason to protest, I don't think it's ridiculous. If our country was in Egypt's situation, I think we would all protest like this. Danielle Hamilton.
I believe that protesting like this might go on for a while. The Egyptian president is resisting too much, even with the lack of the cooperation of most of his military. I don't really think there is ever a "legitimate" reason for protest, because protesting starts due to the up-rise of opposing opinions. Protest is always ridiculous because people need to understand that they can't have everything their way. If a protest similar to this one in terms of size started here in the United States of America, I would probably just go on a 2 week vacation to another country.
I believe that the protest in Egypt will continue until the people get what they feel they deserve. I do believe the people have a good reason to protest. I don’t think I would protest because the people in the video were getting hurt, and I am not trying to risk my life. If I did feel a strong need to protest I would do it in a peaceful manner. Egypt’s government obviously isn’t hearing them out because they are too busy fighting the protesters back.
I think the protest will go on for awhile. The people do have a legitimate reason to protest. I would protest like this if our country was in Egypt's situation. The people of Egypt do not think that they are being treated fairly and they want us to help them. If they were to protest the situation like Martin Luther King Jr. I do not think it would be heard as they are now.
I don’t watch the news so I wasn’t aware of was current kind of condition Egypt. Although, I know this may sound harsh, but I don’t truly care much about Egypt as I care about my own country. The protest I believe is necessary, except maybe it is a little bit over the top! I think naturally when people form a group with anger and passion about a situation, it tends to turn violate. I would try my best though to try to keep the protest as peaceful as possible.
I don’t think the protest in Egypt will be over in a while. If the protest went on for 14 days then its no where near done. The people do have a right to protest but not the way they are doing it. It’s a right way to protest without violence. Our country is somewhat like Egypt’s but I won’t protest against it. If I had to protest I would do it peacefully like Martin Luther King Jr. and Mohandas Gandhi.
I think that the protest going on in Egypt will go on for a while. I think people have good reasons behind protesting because they are being treated unfairly. Those people are getting their rights taken from them and being put in harms way. Some are getting hit with tear gas which is uncalled for. Those people are just trying to stand up for what they believe in. If I was in a country like that I don’t think I would be able to protest like that. I am not that strong of a person to deal with all the crowds at once and the tear gas as well. I would probably try being peacefully like Gahndi.
I think that the protesters will keep on protesting till they get the respect that they deserve. I absolutely think that the people of Egypt have a legitimate reason to protest. Not having the Internet, food, all banks have closed; economically the whole country is going down. Children not being able to go to school in that country should be enough reason for the president or in this case the dictator needs to step down and let someone else that’s not crazy do the job! If I was in Egypt I would be out there with guns, knifes and everything fighting for what I believe in.
I do not believe this protest will be coming to an end anytime soon. The citizens of Egypt to have a legitimate reason for being upset with the government. The citizens of Egypt are handling this situation the wrong way. If our country was in this type of situation I would not handle it like the citizens of Egypt. If I was in this situation I would handle it like my forefather Martin Luther King.
I think this Egypt situation is going to continue for a while unless someone magically fixes their problems. I don't know if they have a legitimate reason because I don't really know why they are protesting. I think if our country had a serios problem that I would protest. Peaceful is nice but it takes longer to work I think.
