Do you think it's a good or bad thing that this CIA operation made it to the media? Explain. Do you feel safer or more in danger knowing that so much goes on in regards to Al Qaeda? Why?

I think this plan was pretty smart. I feel a little bit safer because now the United States can examine Al Qaeda's latest bomb design. However, I think Al Qaeda might get angered about this situation. The group may try to retaliate.

The things we don't know. If we knew everything that goes on behind closed doors we'd be a very different people. The amount of corrupt, absurd, and flat out dangerous things that happen around you everyday without your knowledge would cause mass hysteria if it was ever leaked. So, in the case of this incident, this comes as no surprise.

I think that is a bad thing that this CIA operation made it to the media. Now Al Qaeda can see it and maybe they know who it is. The U.S. definitely does more than I thought they do concerning terrorists. I don't think the media realizes that they give away valuable information. It is a good thing that they caught that bomb.

I think the U.S. is smart for doing this. I mean really, that's pretty beast that we can know what they're up to. The U.S. does more spying and stuff than I realized. I'm glad they caught that bomb.

I do think it's somewhat of a bad idea, because I'm not too sure I would want everyone to know about this. If feel somewhat odd, I don't know if I feel protected.

This is in this case a good thing. Our government will from time to time show that we can and will infiltrate organizations such as Al Qaeda. Its a scare tactic. Imagine what it means to terrorist if they see that we can infiltrate them. But most times I hate the fact that the media shares secret information. They have no right to do so and can actually endanger many lives. I feel safer knowing that we are finally tracking these people down.

I don’t think it is a good thing that this story made the media. It could easily create chaos among Americans. I am glad that they were on top of the situation, but also, I don’t know how credible the news story is, because the information relayed to the public can all be manipulated by the government. I feel an equal sense of safety and danger. On one hand, the CIA effectively thwarted the threat to American people, but at the same time, Al Qaeda is always going to create plans to harm the United States, and the CIA may not always be successful.

I think the whole situation is crazy because other countries will know about so much. In other word it's a bad thing. I feel a little in danger from this. But also we now know about their bomb design, that's the benefit from this.
