Who do you think should win the $680,000 prize money? Explain. Do you think the other party has a good argument for keeping the money? Why or why not? Have you ever won anything?

If someone threw it in the trash, they obviously didn't want it. In this case, I would say finders keepers. I think the person that threw it away does have a good reason as to why she wants it but I don't understand why she threw it away. I've never won any money prizes before but it sure would be nice.

Honestly, I think this woman deserves to keep the money. She went through all that trouble to get the ticket. I believe once you throw a something in the trash, you're saying you don't want the ticket. I don't think the other party doesn't really have a good argument because she was the one that threw the ticket away. Hope this works out better for the lady that took the ticket of the trash.

I think the lady who found the ticket deserves the ticket. If you throw away a ticket then you're not planing on turning in the ticket for money. If she found it she should keep it because it was just sitting there. If she hadn't taken it no one else would have. I bought a few scratchers and just kept winning the dollar I spent on them back.

The woman who found the money should keep it. She found it because the other woman didnt want. No the party doesnt have a good argument for keeping the money. She did not pay for it. Yes I have

The women who found it should definitely be aloud to keep the money. Mostly because the other person could be lying. The likelihood of that being the case is too great to be able to take that chance. I think that once you throw it away, it immediately becomes open for any scavengers smart and/or desperate enough to go looking for it.

Finders keepers, losers suck! Sharon Jones found it and she should get to keep it. The other Sharon should have never thrown it away, period. The other people have absolutely no good argument for keeping the money. I wish I had one something like that.

I think the woman that found it in the trash, should be the one to keep the money because, she found it first. When you throw something away you don't want it anymore, so the woman that threw it away lost her chance, and it's her loss.

First of all, I don't see how the lady could just throw the money away. I personally think the lady who found the money should win the prize money. This party does have a good argument for keeping the money. It's not fair how she has to pay all that money back. They found it so they should be able to keep it. I have won something before.

This situation is just stupid. The woman who bought it threw it away; therefore, it no longer belonged to her. Jones should get to keep the money, because she found it. It isn’t like she deliberately stole the ticket; she fished it out of the trash. The judge who ruled that the first woman should have the million dollars was unfair. This is a demonstration of our sometimes twisted legal system. The woman who threw it away has no moral claim to the money.

I think the person who found it deserves to win it because they found it. It's not like they stole it or something. Its also the machine's fault. I don't blame the person for getting mad because that's a lot of money. I've won $20 from a $2 before.

Ok if you throw it away then you don't want it. Simple and clean, easy as that. The other party has no right to get the money. This women does this because she needs the extra money. I can't believe that these other people thought they could make easy money off this woman. At a minimum this woman should only get whats left because she only claimed the ticket once she saw the worth. Thats like selling a horse cause you think it has no value. My parents play but no I technically have never won the lottery.

I think that if throw it away you apparently don't want it. I think that the women that found it should get the money. But if the machine messed up I would try and get my money to. I don't know what I would do if I was in this situation. I think either way someone is going to really upset.

If you throw something in the trash that obviously means you no longer want it, but being leaded in the wrong direction can change the outcome. The machine telling the woman her ticket is a loser and then someone else getting is does change it a little. We do not know all the facts, the woman could have been lying about the faulty machine. Angry or not I think the judge was wrong. When you discard something it no longer belongs to you, end of story.
