Dress to Impress

Did you watch the Grammys last night? Did you hear about the new dress code? Do you agree with it? Some people are saying these rules aren't necessary what do you think? Do you agree that some of these rules are sexist and you should be allowed to show as much of your body as you want to?

I watched only about 20 minutes of the Grammy Awards Sunday night. I had not heard about the dress code before now, but I'm actually somewhat impressed. When I think about Hollywood, modesty is not the first word that comes to mind. Hollywood stars push the limit more often than not and try to steal the spotlight any way they can; and female body parts certainly get media attention. I do not think it's wrong for the people behind the Grammy Awards show to attempt to make this a classy event. If someone does not want to adhere to the dress code, I'm sure he or she can opt to stay home and watch the Grammy Awards in the comfort of his or her million dollar home (completely naked if they so choose). I do not think the rules are sexist. There is an obvious difference in sex appeal between a man's nipples and a woman's nipples. Let's face it, right or wrong, dress codes are mainly geared toward women anyway.

I watched a bit of the beginning to the Grammys. I heard a little of the new dress code. I agree with the dress code we know famous people pay to make sure their bodies look nice, but we don't love them for that. They need to cover up and be modest yet classy figures to our world. I think the rules are necessary, or the outfits would get worse.Women have more to cover up, and tend to show off more. I believe it seems tougher on females than males because we have more than they do. Seeing a males chest, is very different from the females which are made to be covered.

No I did not see the Grammys last night. No I did not hear about the new dress code. No I think that there should be limits to what is shown by both sexes because it is not proper to be shown on tv that could children watching with there parents.

I don't ever watch the Grammys or anything of that nature. I actually find the dress code to be very necessary! You're on national television and you want to show half the world more than half of your body? I have my own body parts and wish to only see mine! I'm all about self respect . . . I don't find these rules sexist whatsoever. We naturally wear different clothes because different rules apply to different sexes. I'm a firm believer that "modest is hottest!" :)

No I did not watch the Grammys. I don't find that kind of stuff interesting. I did not hear about the dress code until this video. I guess I agree with the dress code. I do think that some of the rules are sexist.

I didn't watch the Grammy's this year, however I did hear about the dress code. Mrs. Mise used the Grammy's dress code as an example for our prom dress code. I do agree because I feel that people should put dress code into consideration when attending an important event. I don't find any of the rules sexiest, I just feel that woman have certain parts of their body that should stay hidden. Women can't reveal to much because that makes them look horribly unclassy. Including to that I don't think any of the rules were out of hand.

I only wathced about 30 minutes of the Grammys. I do agree that some of these rules are sexist. I think that they should be able to show whatever they want to, its there fault if they want to look like slutty whores. I know this isnt five sentences but i couldnt think of anything else

Yes, I watched all of the Grammys. I had no idea about the dress code for the Grammys. I think girls should cover themselves because they inspire so many little girls and if they see them dress like that, then they'll think it is ok. I think they should stop with sexist stuff, because Wiz was the only person to do it.
