Do you think that ending the prohibition of marijuana is a good idea? Would it help the american economy or would it do nothing? Should they tax and regulate it like alcohol, or keep it banned forever. Why or why not?

I do not think that it should be ended. I don't think that it will help the economy, at least not in a good way. They should keep it banned. Because I think that it is wrong, many of my friends do it and I always fuss at them.
I have no idea haha. This is such a touchy topic. I feel like if people want it, they'll get it. The same thing goes with alcohol and weapons. I think one day, it'll be legalized in a lot of states. Times are rapidly changing and this generation is way more okay and open about drugs and alcohol, sadly. I think when it becomes more popular and legalized, it will contain a tax and it should. There is no way that it will be "banned" or kept illegal forever. Like I said, times are changing and they're changing fast.
I don't think that it should be legalized. If it were to be legalized people would be abusing it and people would be walking around high all the time. It would not help the american economy. They should keep it banned.

I believe if people want to use weed, they are going to do it no matter if it is legal or illegal. I believe it would be okay if they ended the prohibition just like they did for alcohol. If they were going to legalize it, I believe it would be to improve money in the US. It would definitely help our economy. I think if they were to make it legal they need to tax and regulate it, so it doesn't get out of hand.
I don't really know what to say about this blog. I feel that if people want to buy and smoke weed regardless if they legalize it or not, people are still gonna do it. In some way, I do believe that the government may use it to regulate the economy, because even though it is illegal, transaction's involving marijuana happen all over the united states. I don't really think it's my place to say weather it should stay banned or not because some people use it in a positive way when they have health issues. Overall I do think that it is way more safer than alcohol. -Dixie G
I think the legalization marijuana is a good idea. It doesn't hurt you like cigarettes and alcohol. If those are legal why can't marijuana be?? I think the government should tax it and that way we can have more money as a country. I think it will help the country out a lot.
I think they need to make a decision and be done with it. I think it would help the American economy by giving them another thing to raise taxes on and sell. I do think they should tax it and make it to where you have to be 18 to purchase it and that you can only purchase a certain amount a day. I also think it would cause people to be upset. The people who would want to purchase it would not be as excited once it was legal because there would be a limit and it would not be what they expected.
